My dog stinks....

SO I run home on my lunch to let my dog out and as I walk around the corner into my living room..... I see it......CRAP (nice word) in spirals all over my carpet!!!!!!  And she couldn't just do it in one spot....nope....3 different spots in huge circles in my living room!!!!!  Crying  Lots of F words were said....don't worry my dog was outside and didn't hear a word....  Then I couldn't find a sponge so I had to use paper towels....and then the stupid Resolve Cleaner spray bottle wouldn't spray right!!!!  OH and we put plastic over our windows to help "keep out the cold air" so I couldn't open the windows...oh the smell was lovely.  Couldn't eat my lunch....and couldn't stop gagging.....    It's too cold to put her outside until I get off work so I had to put her in the guest room.  I know she doesn't feel well but DH said she ate something she wasn't supposed to in the yard yesterday....well too bad he isn't home to find out what it was!!!!!  So now I get to go to Walmart after work to buy sponges and more cleaner and watch Oprah while scrubbing CRAP out of my carpet.  Fabulous....  Party!!!

Re: My dog stinks....

  • Sorry if I grossed anyone out...I just needed to vent.
  • Sorry Kristina! Gracey is just gearing you up for having babies and kiddos. Wink

Does anyone have a carpet cleaner you could borrow? We have a Bissel one and it works wonders. If I lived closer I'd run it over to you. Lol.

    Good luck!

  • It's okay.  Lent doesn't start until tomorrow.  "F-Word" it up.

And I feel your pain.  Pugsly just finished her UTI.  We were one big pee party for a while (we penned her up in the kitchen or bathroom or anywhere with a tile floor while we were gone).  She was given a clean bill of health yesterday by the vet.  So imagine my surprise today when I go home to find another spot on my carpet.  Fantastic.

    Margarita?

  • I'm at my desk....can we just pour the margarita into an IV bag and hook me up?  Attach it to one of the roller carts so I can push it around?

Uhhhhhh yes....dogs are perfect "practice" children.  I just think DH needs the practice more than me.  She ALWAYS gets sick when he is out of town or i get home first....suck.  I don't have a carpet cleaner (it's on our registry).  Dang it!

  • Thanks melissa, I appreciate it. Smile  I may just have to pick one up at Walmart on my way home.  How much do they start at?????  It would be a great investment, I mean for our future kiddos and all.  Great reason to tell the DH when he comes home! Stick out tongue

Absolutely not!  You gotta savor the taste of a margarita... and that soury goodness...  Can't taste margaritas through veins.

You can, however, use one of these, replacing the beer with margaritas:

Looks like you can get one for a little more or less than $100...I say go for it!

I just looked it up too!  They are sold out at Walmart, but they have IN STOCK at Target!  And I have a $30 gift card to target left over from the wedding. SWEEEEEET!  I mean I'm not excited to clean up crap, but so glad they have it.  A lot easier than a sponge, bucket, and cleaner.  What kind of cleaner do you have to use with this thing???

  • Ya I just answered my own question....

Bissell Pet Odor and Soil Removal Formula - 128 oz.  To the rescue!!!

  • Yes! Use the pet cleaner! We don't even have any cats anymore (they were, ahem, the reason we needed the cleaner in the first place) and we still use it because it really gets in there and picks up the smells.
  • Awesome, glad it works!  There is plenty of smell for it to pick up that's for sure.  I hope she is not destroying the guest room.  I took my wedding dress out of there just in case.  Paranoid....

No, you're not paraniod! I would have too!

  • Aww - I'm sorry this happened.  My dog caught a tummy bug and had this sort of thing happen once too except that she's kenneled so she had no choice but to sit in it.  :(  Poor thing.  After that, she got penned into our kitchen so that she could at least get away from it if the need arose and we could easily clean it up.  My dog does NOT like baths either so on top of feeling yucky, she had to get a bath too (go figure-she LOVES swimming but hates baths).  I could tell she felt awful about not being able to "hold it" because she just looked so remorseful as I was cleaning out the kennel tray.  Hope the carpet cleaner works out - that is no fun to clean up.
  • She never has accidents so it's not like I can be mad at her, she obviously doesn't feel well.  She shouldn't have ate whatever the mystery object/animal in the backyard was yesterday.  I was looking for anything to block her off into the family room (all tile) but I had nothing....so the guest room was the next place.  Only the in laws sleep in there.....  Stick out tongue
  • I've had a bad day too... I had a few silent tears over an experiment... BAHHHHHHH. Screw the margaritas... someone just get me a shot or two or three of tequila. K? Thanks.

  • How about some Patrone?  Let me go get my gold chain......ok I'm ready...
  • MMmmmm... patron.
  • Hi Cipolla - I'm late to the party, as always. Boo to no computer access at work right now!

Anyway, we picked up a Spotbot pet carpet cleaner for my puppies a couple of months ago, and let me tell you: BEST. THING. EVER. You just pick up the, um, chunks Ick! and then plop this baby down and it takes care of the rest. It has cleaned all the potty and puke spots we have had - and there have been a ton! (I have one of those fancy pants giant $400 carpet cleaner jobbies too, but I never use it to clean accidents anymore)  Its super tiny compared to the regular cleaners, which is bonus too.  Not sure if that interests you at all, but seriously, with two rotties who have digestive issues, I'd die without mine. Just thought I'd pass it on :)

this always happens to me. DH is gone for two to three weeks during the end of summer and every time, never fails the kids get sick with their yearly worst flu of the season. it sucks. I think dogs, kids, just know when to let it happen.. us women can handle it better:)
