I love my local police blotter...

here in Podunk, USA

Dad wins

Feb. 4: Officers were sent to an (address) for a domestic dispute between a father and teenage son.

The father told the officers that he was trying to confiscate his son's pre-paid cell phone, and the son refused because he had paid for it.

Officers explained to the son his rights in a parental discipline issue - which, in cases like this, are basically none - and the son complied by surrendering the phone. The matter is closed

  • Nice.

I remember two awesome ones we had in high school.  One about a woman being chased by invisible people, and another about two cows that got out of their pasture and were going along [road name] at a "fast pace on hoof."
