Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Help with my wireless, please!

I got a new laptop and it's acting so weird. We share wireless with a bunch of other people so the router isn't in our place.

Anyway, it says that I'm connected and have excellent signal strength but every few minutes, I lose the internet. A screen pops up that says "Click to diagnose connection problem" or smthg like that...and it tells me that maybe I typed the address wrong, but I didn't.

Any ideas what the deal is??

Re: Help with my wireless, please!

  • You may have to re-configure your computer's wireless network settings.  

    Mine did that a couple times and I had to re-set it and plug directly into the modem/ router (if wireless) because it automatically gets the IP address from the machine.
