November 2008 DH's dad was is a serious car accident (not his fault) and since has had severe blood clotting issues along with near liver failure - he was hours away from having part of his liver removed before they realized it was a gall bladder infection spread to his liver. He had several stints put in his legs to help blood clots not moving to his heart.
Before the accident he was in excellent health, maintained a healthy weight, drove his racecar every weekend and had a very active lifestyle. After the accident he still drives the racecar and works full time, but he tends to get tired easily and needs to rest. He can't fly for longer than a couple hours due to getting blood clots in his legs.
Fast forward to last week. He started having chest pains and pain down his arms so he went for a stress test. He failed. He went for a test that involved a scope up through his belly button to his heart, and they found 50% blockage.
So now he has to have bypass surgery and DH is a MESS. DH and his parents are VERY close and he's SOOO upset. He had already planned to leave tomorrow to go down there (Houston) to spend the weekend for his mom's birthday, so he's still leaving tomorrow, but he thinks he's going to be down there now for about 6 weeks.
I feel so bad for him, and helpless. And he feels guilty leaving me for so long.
So... if anyone wants to get together... looks like I'll have lots of free girl time!!!
