What paint colors do you get the most compliments about?

When people come to visit, what colors get the most compliments or comments?  I'm just curious.

Share the color and PIP if you can!  Thanks.

Re: What paint colors do you get the most compliments about?

  • The dining room is Behr Blue Fox:

  • PIB.

I get a lot of compliments on the grays in our DR and guest room.  Mostly b/c it's not as popular around here as it seems to be online.

I also love the color I put in our 1/2 bath, I can't wait to put the crown up.  I'm contemplating painting the ceiling the lightest color on the chip.

  • I get the most compliments on the color of my kitchen/dining room. It's BM Harrisburg Green.

  • we have valspar's silver fox on our bedroom walls and they look great with the white trim, we always get comments on this color.
  • I get compliments on our bright green basement (Behr Corn Husk). It's nice and bright without blinding you, and it adds a nice touch to the basement.

I also get compliments on our slate blue dining room (Behr Prelude). It's a nice understated blue. P.S. I cannot wait to replace the furniture in this room! I am NOT a fan of mid century modern...

  • My kitchen and part of the livingroom is Ace cinnamon spice. People love it.

My guestroom is also snowstorm gray by Ace and people love that too.

I get lots of comments on my aqua in the guest room...but more so because it's bright and weird to a lot of people...lol...but I love it.

  • pale artichoke color downstairs, it changes colors from greenish to aqua

  • We get a lot of compliments on the main color in our first floor (open concept) Olympic's Crocodile Tears. It's a very neutral sage-ish green. I like how it's warmed up such a big space without closing it in or locking us into one color scheme for the whole downstairs. It honestly looks good with almost any color that we've put with it.

And people tend to comment on our guest bathroom. It's a Glidden paint, and it's something ocean related. I can't remember. It's a bit more teal than what it looks like in this picture, but it's really deep and bold. I love it.

  • The Master Bedroom - Behr Turtle Dove. The white trim really 'pop's against this for some reason, and everyone makes comments about how calm and soothing it is.

  • The brown we chose for our upstairs bonus room. Benjamin Moore Brown Sugar.

  • BEHR Sierra Mist (its a light aqua color) I have it in most rooms throughout my house.

  • BM Tropicana Cabana in our guest room has gotten the most attention, but it is also the last room painted and we have had a few guests since painting it.  It is very close to Tiffany box blue.

Actually, we get compliments on all of our colors, but mostly on the warm orangeish yellow that we have on the walls in the all of the rooms that are open to each other.  It is a BM color....Morning Sunshine.  We previously had a color more similar to the next darker color on the same card (nacho cheese-lol), but I was trying to make more neutral in anticipation of selling.  I prefer the stronger color, and our guests seemed to comment on it feeling warm and welcoming, but a color that thye wouuld be afraid to try in their own homes.

  • the green in our kitchen, although it didn't photograph very well. Its Asparagus by Behr. I actually got the color from some kitchen remodel on HGTV.

  • Our master bath always gets compliments.  It's SW paint color matched to RH Silver Sage.

  • In a previous house, everyone loved SW Ostrich feather. I don't see it on their website anymore. It was a light taupe. In some light, you could see pinks in it... some light, peach... and most of the time, a very soft neutral.

I get the most compliments on my kitchen color. Please excuse the mess. I used the color for an accent wall along with the cabinet doors. The sides of the counters were already that color when we moved in, but they were covered with white tape. After I discovered the original color, I decided to use it for the main color for the kitchen. I used a sand pearl color for the rest, which it worked out very well with the red. Everyone loves the red.
  • Kitchen, excuse the mess please.
