Worrying about the cat

So I told you all about his elevated kidney numbers back in the fall. They came down to normal and we were going to re-test in a few months. Lately, he's taken to taking loooooong drinks - from our water glasses. He's never done this before. So off to the vet we go next Saturday to make sure he's not in renal failure or diabetic.

There hasn't been a change in his pee output, but H is freaking out.

Ts and Ps, please?

  • T&Ps

We're having the same thing here.  Do you have the potasium supplement?  We use that in a gel and the special (expensive) food.

  • No potassium because his numbers went back to normal so he wasn't in renal failure. We did change his diet to wet kitten food (which has helped with his weight loss.). I'm hoping it's just a curiosity thing and not a sign of something wrong. He used to hop into the tub and lap up the water from the bottom after we got out of the shower.
  • Me and the boys are sending lots of Ts and Ps
