AND WHAT WERE THE FAVORS? DEAR HEAVENS, THE FAVORS.
Gift bingo is the most low-maintenance and least obnoxious of all bridal shower games. Basically everyone gets a 5x5 grid, and they write down things they think the bride will get. Then, as the gifts are opened, you mark them off on your board and the first person with 5 in a row wins.
But my mom made everyone trade papers so they couldn't cheat, then she was all 'China' doesn't count as 'dishes,' 'pots and pans' means a set, not a single pot or pan, etc. So by the end of her tirade I think about 6 of the 75 people there actually bothered to play.
The favors were tiny gift bags filled with candy. I spent 2 hours sorting Hershey's nuggets and counting out gold and silver wrappers (because they all had to be exactly the same), and then I didn't even get one.
