If you're getting a tax refund...
What are you doing with it?
I am getting one and I want to go get sushi and buy a few new clothes.
Re: If you're getting a tax refund...
Paying for the bar exam and the rest to savings. Boring I know.
GO Cort!!! I'm very proud of you (for more than just losing the 30 pounds)
I'm putting 20% in savings, paying off bills and taking the princess to Disneyland.
I may buy myself some new boots and possibly a new laptop since my current one and I are having creative differences.
Oh and I may have purchased two extremely nosebleed seat concert tickets for a certain obsession/guitar playing songwriter who doesn't know how to keep his trap shut.
I read this too fast and immediately saw it as "boobs." Mind in the gutter, I tell ya.
I will unfortunately owe Uncle Sam. And not because I made a killing last year, I'm a 1099.
-sniffle- Me too.
Heh, if I had a little more from Uncle Sam I just might get new boobs. Or at least lift the ones I have.
We haven't done our taxes yet, but if there's a refund to be had it's going straight into savings. Being an adult is so boring.
We just got approved to buy a house so I'm sure alot of it will be going towards that and to savings. We would like to try to take a trip somewhere this year because its our 5 year anniversary. Sooooo who knows. Soo many possibilities. Thank you Casey for bumping up our refund!!!
congrats, cort - that's awesome!!!
talk about boring, MH always puts all of our refund into our IRA. SNORE.

We're planning to buy a DSLR and probably put the rest toward a summer trip. This was our first year with a 1099 and it sucks!
We're getting quite a bit back since I was on disability most of 2009 and DH & I withhold at single and zero.
- pay off one of my credit cards
- purchase baby and dog stuff
- leather living room chairs
- get the bathtub/shower reglazed and all new fixtures
- new paint for both bathrooms (something more vibrant than beige)
- rest in savings
We haven't done our taxes yet. But I think we're going to get a refund. If it's as big as last year, which I don't think it will be, prolly put some in savings, buy some house stuff, and some towards paying off H's car. If it's small, prolly buy some barstools and the rest to savings if there's anything left.
Orginally, we were going to put it in Leila's college fund.
Now, if we get one, it's going to a redunkulous designer diaper bag or a bugaboo bee stroller.
Shhh... don't tell MM.
We're getting our taxes filed on Monday...but we've already discussed our options.
1. Pay off my Citibank student loan!
2. House stuff - water softener and other stuff for the sprinklers
3. Save it for Italy & DSLR camera.
