Rec your EF toilet paper

We are looking for a good, EF toilet paper.  I mentioned "family cloth" or reusable TP to DH and we both agree that is something we are just not willing to do (at least not at this time).

Re: Rec your EF toilet paper

  • I recently bought the recycled TP from Costco (not sure about the brand - it's yellow package) and so far so good.

  • I've been buying the Trader Joe's recycled TP.  Not too $$, and it works just fine.  It's no Cottonelle (sigh), but it's better than the couple other brands I've tried.

I wish there was a TJs close to us!  The nearest one is 250 miles away :(

  • DH and I bought Seventh Generation and he didn't notice the difference! He doesn't like super soft toilet paper (we usually buy safeway soft and strong) so he was happy with this toilet paper.
  • We're currently using Marcal, and we like it enough.  Unfortunately, our grocery store had the Marcal paper towels on closeout last time we were there, so I hope they aren't going to stop carrying their products altogether.

Before the Marcal we tried Trader Joe's TP, but when I got it home I realized that it didn't say anywhere on it that it was recycled.  Do they have two different kinds?

We need to go to Costco this weekend (buying fair trade coffee at the grocery store is killing our budget!), and I'll check out what they carry by way of recycled paper products.

Yes- they do have 2 different kinds- one is made from recycled paper and the other is not, and it's MUCH softer.  We use the TJ's recycled TP, but DH has bought the "other" kind before.
