My Treck to Miami

Hi Ladies!

I wanted to ask you girls down south about the miami commute- which I have heard is awful. I have to be in downtown Miami tomorrow morning at 9am. If I am coming from Parkland (think Coral Springs) what is my best way of getting there considering traffic? Turnpike, 95, etc? What time should I leave? I have my gps, but that doesnt help me with the traffic issue.

Turnpike then crossover to 95 via 836.

Thanks! Do you have any idea of how long this will take me? Should I give myself like an hour and a half?

I would say so with traffic.

actually...if you have the sunpass you can get on the express lane on I95. i would take the turnpike...then get I95 by the golden glades interchange.  def give it 1.5 hrs.  i'm not sure if this is the same thing Yocy said.

queen commuter here!  I guess the best way to get there coming from CS (i use to live there) is get on the tpk and hop on the I95 after the golden glade interchange like PP mentioned... avoid the 836, this is horrific in the mornings.  But definitely leave a bit earlier than you planned to because the traffic in Miami is UNPREDICTBLE  so even if you get to DT a little early at least you will not be sitting in major traffic
