Stir It Up: Culinary Fundraiser for Haiti this Sun. 2/21

Ladies, I'm participating in a culinary fundraiser for Haiti and we could use some help spreading the word to increase ticket sales whether it's through FB, Twitter, email, etc. We need folks to buy tickets and make donations so that all our efforts are not in vain. We've already been featured in RedEye, Chicago Reader, Time Out, etc but we still need to spread the word...

**Tickets can be purchased through my website - www.whatscookinchicago.com - by clicking the Stir It 28 Logo at the top of the page**

Here are the details of the event....

In light of the unfathomable disaster Haiti suffered recently, a group of food bloggers from Atlanta, Los Angeles and Chicago have mobilized and organized a Benefit for the Islands' relief efforts to occur on Sunday February 21st, from 3-5pm, through an afternoon of food, music and celebration of life and hope.

STIR IT 28: Food Bloggers Align for Haiti Relief is an uplifting event where the Chicago food community, including food bloggers, chefs, restaurants, home-cooks and "foodies," will come together to raise as much money as it can for the people of that island. Think "STIR" for the action of cooks in the kitchen and STIRRING up interest, unity and mobility for Haiti relief. "28" represents the entire of month of February, which we have designated to be a month of additional fundraising. Food is essential to living and thousands of people in Haiti are dying due to lack of basics. We are fortunate to have resources to eat, but we also can use those resources to help raise monies desperately needed.

We invite you to attend this special foodie fundraiser! 100% of monies raised will go directly to Share Our Strength and YELE Haiti, our two designated charity organizations that are working hard at raising millions and providing manual aide. Share Our Strength has accepted our designation and will help us in any way they can to garner support and get the word out in each city STIR IT 28 is happening. We are working on connecting with YELE.
