HOLY yummyness, if thats even a word! It's cooling on the counter now but I had to test it of course!! Shhh don't tell Drake cause I told him after naptime we'd have it for snack! It's sooo good! Props to Kate on the Monkey Munch

What the heck is Monkey Munch?  LoL! I dont really watch Jon and Kate (dont like her much) so i have NO Idea what you are talking about, LOL! Please, do tell the pregnant lady who is looking for a snack right now.

cnj050607- Here's the recipe lady, and for anyone else who wants it!

SERVES 18 , 9 cups

Ingredients:

 

• 9 cups Chex cereal (any variety)
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1/4 cup butter or margarine
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

1-Put chex in a large bowl and put aside.

2-Place chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter into a quart-sized microwavable bowl.

3-Stir the ingredients together.

4-Microwave the mixture uncovered for a minute on "high." Stir the mix again and continue to zap in thirty second intervals until it mixes smoothly.

5-Add the vanilla and stir.

6-Put combination into a 2-gallon, Ziploc freezer bag.

7-Add powdered sugar, seal the bag and shake until distributed.

8-Spread Monkey Munch out on wax paper to cool and dry.

9-Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for storage.

ooh i am SOOOO going to the store when Carl gets home! That sounds SOOOOOOO yummy!  Probably not the best snack for me to be eating, but the boys will be here this weekend (providing i dont go into labor before then) so they can help me eat it!

 What kind of Chex did you use?  I usually only buy the original plain kind.

We make that EVERY single year for my DH's company's annual bake sale to benefit the SPCA. It's most commonly known as "puppy chow". Until J&K+8 I've never heard of it as "monkey munch". Whatever you call it, it's FABULOUS and always a huge hit.

I used the honey nut chex mix, but you can use any kind.

Yes I've heard people now saying it's puppy chow, but have never had that before so I didn't know if there was a difference or not.

Oooo, I've made that before. The recipe is on the Chex box. I love that stuff! It's one of the things I can actually make my uncle to eat, because he has Celiac's disease. But I have to try it with the honey Chex, mmmmm.
