Old kiddie pool as raised bed

http://wanderingchopsticks.blogspot.com/2009/04/how-to-make-kiddie-pool-raised-bed.html

Given that we have an old kiddie pool in the garage that cracked a little last summer, and our need for an additional bed for our lettuce endeavor, I think we're going to give this a shot.  And ideas for masking the fact that we're indeed gardening in an old kiddie pool?

  • You could probably paint it dark green or black. I would then either mulch around and plant some crawling vines, or if you can stomach it, put them in the ground? It might not actually look that bad after being painted, but to me, bright plastic doesn't look natural in a garden.
