Grrr

10 year old niece is doing a project on the State of Arizona.  She contacted the state bureau of travel/etc and they sent her...a COLORING BOOK.

What?  :(

Re: Grrr

  • She should color them and turn it in as her project. WALLAH.
  • Ha! You would think travel bureaus would have specific information for students. Really, doesn't every elementary school kid in the country eventually have to do a project about some state or another?
  • Listen, we're a poor state. We don't have the money to be just sending kids all sorts of stuff for school projects.

But seriously, let me know if she wants me to send her some stuff. I'll go dig up a cactus for her.

They could have sent her one of those brochures like you can pick up at a visitors center. Guess she'll have to use the world wide interwebs. Or color.

    .
  • Yeah.  They told her they could send her a brochure or two but that it would take 4 weeks.  Hmmm.  BRILLIANT.  not

    Yes, the interwebz it is!

  • You could try to hit AAA or any other travel place.
  • I strongly 2nd AAA.  Don't ahve to be a member, just have someone take her, explain, get brochures.
