Ladies I'm just so excited that I have to share. Hubby and I bought a couch last night which doesn't seem so exciting on the surface but this is one of the first items that we own that wasn't previously owned by someone else. One of the big furniture vendors in our area just opened a new warehouse that is full of overstock items, scratch and dents, and sorta the onesie twosies that they get from vendors who just want to get rid of them. Very few things were what I would call "ugly" and most everything was very on trend. Who cares if you get last year's model?! We had a budget set and came in $300 under that which makes me thrilled because now we can splurge a little bit when we get a refrigerator next month under the new "cash for clunker" deal on appliances.
Re: Yay - we bought a couch
GL! That is the worst!
We almost lost our sofa the last time we moved. We did get it in (with some minor damage) but it definitely not coming back out in one piece
. Oh well, I suppose we'll want new furniture when we get a house, right?

Hubby is mad at himself because he gouged the heck outta the wood stuff on the bottom and dented the front door but it is in and it is beautiful. Who cares if I have to re-stain the bottom - nobody is going to look that closely! We did have to take off the legs AND the base but it finally went. *phew*
