We ended up going out for Valentine's day, so I'm not sure if we're going to actually go out this week or not. I'd like to though; there's a lot of good restaurants this year!

we went to merlo on maple. the food was EXCELLENT!

Looks like we are going to go out! Yay! We're going to try Capital Grille.

 

We've gone both of the previous times they've had it. The first year, we went to Aria - it was delicious! and last year we tried Lawry's. Lawry's was really good, but their Yorkshire pudding was just okay (I'm spoiled from years of having my grandmother's).

 

Out of the other restaurants, I've been to a decent number of them. I've been to Cafe Spiaggia a few times now and it never fails, so I'd recommend them. Mercat a la Planxa also has really delicious food (even though you can never quite tell what it is you're eating), but the menu just doesn't seem like all that great of a deal comparatively. I've also been to Joe's once and the food was superb. In fact, what's surprising is how good their steak is (H had it when we went). The waiter actually told us it was ranked the best by.. well I forget which ranking system... but H said it was the best steak he ever had (I believe he got the porterhouse).

Okay, so we went to Capital Grille last night. It was amazing! The food and service were both excellent. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is still considering restaurant week, but isn't sure where to go. That is, if you can still get reservations!
