Hi there, I've recently moved back to the greater Seattle area and am very facinated by all of the research and scoping out you've done over the years and I was wondering if you blog about this for us locals who can access the same stores, resources, farms, etc as you?

I'm a PCC shopper and have investigated what they've got in stock but wondering about all of your other tricks of the trade. Do you belong to a CSA? Do you buy your meat from a store or from a farmer?

Any help would be awesome! I hope you're enjoying this beautiful sunny day!

  • Thanks, I was enjoying the sunny day! I was out in the sun all day Sunday and then ended up taking yesterday off to enjoy the weather some more!

You know I keep meaning to start a blog, and talk about it, and then haven't! I need more time in life!!!

Welcome back to Seattle! There are actually quite a few Seattle ladies across the boards who are on average some pretty conscious and savvy folks.

I don't eat a lot of meat anymore actually. It really wasn't a strict conscious choice, it just happened that way really. I buy some salmon at PCC now and then, and all Dungeness is considered sustainable (woohoo!), and sustainable shrimp is pretty easy to find - I actually get mine at a local shop "Shawn and Ted's Meat Market", that's inside a local produce store. I have bought what I term "4-footed meat" at a local shop or PCC, but I don't eat much of this and am pretty sure I'm cutting these out completely.

Mostly I'm excited for the farmer's markets to open up again!!
