They were selling blueberry bushes at Costco (and also fruit trees) so I got two bundles.
I read the planting directions and planted them today. However, I have some questions:
1) The plant looks like a twig (with some green on it), about 10" tall. The description says it will spread rapidly and grow to over 6 feet tall. How long is this gonna take? Will it grow to 6 feet by this summer? Next year?
2) Am I gonna have blueberries this year?
Re: Blueberry Bush question
1) Years. Our 6-footers at the old house were 15-20 years old.
2) You may have a few.
We planted a few plants two years ago...they were just about 1.5 ft tall. They're now about 2ft tall. GL.
It's not really the number of bushes that determine fruiting, it's the number of varieties. You need at least two different varieties to get fruit.
