Bridal shower brunch - menu thoughts?

I was thinking of having it at 10 a.m.

Menu consisting of:

Pastries/muffins

fruit bowl

frittas

 some sort of casserole

coffee/juice

What else?

Re: Bridal shower brunch - menu thoughts?

  • How many people are attending? Mini quiche might be easier than a casserole. Also, you could consider having mimosas or bloody marys if your crowd drinks.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • ooh..mini quiche.  good idea :)

Not sure yet.  10-12 ppl I'm guess

  • It sounds pretty good - I would maybe add a yogurt parfait station?  All you would need is a bowl of plain or vanilla yogurt, then two smaller bowls of granola and berries, and small bowls for people to mix them however they want.  Or if the fruit bowl will be berry-heavy, people can just use that.
  • I think it's a good start, but it's pretty breakfast-heavy.

I would pull in more protein, like mini crabcakes or shrimp and grits.  If you're doing frittatas, I would forego the quiche.  That would just be egg overload.

  • Agrred with Kim.  Add a fresh green salad and some sort of lunch protein.  If you do the fritatas skip the quiche,  Yogurt is cheap and easy to add.

    What's up for dessert?

  • for my sister's bridal shower brunch we did: quiche (2 kinds), breakfast potato casserole, monkey bread & mini muffins & sweet breads, fruit kabobs (they were a lot of work but such a hit!), honey baked ham w/ small rolls & mustards & 2 salads.

And make-your-own ice cream sundaes for dessert b/c my sis loves 'em!

  • I'm doing something similar but offering mimosas and then lemon bars for dessert.
