My house is out of control

Trees are toppled over.  We missed trash day last week so the recylce is out of control and we have 2 full cans.  Somehow I've got an extra load of darks and delicates plus I've got bedding for the new mattress.  I usually do the kid's every other week, but for some reason the hamper is full too.  I'm pretty sure this is more than a one day project.

The bedroom is ripped apart for the new mattress.  And I decided now would be a good time to clean out the closets for Goodwill.  Out of control.

Otherwise the weekend was good- slept in Saturday, good food, excellent bcbc.

How was everyone else's?

  • Mine was good. I hung out with FI. I had a soft pretzel. BCBC was had. With FI, not the pretzel. It was a win all the way around.

I was a little worried there, but just for a sec.

BCBC here as well, unbelievably, on like the third try.  DH's headache went away, I wasn't tired enough to collapse, and the baby stayed asleep.

Big weekend for the little Woozle:  we converted our formal dining room into a playroom, which will be great because we never used it anyway and now that she's a little bigger, I can park her in there while I (try to) get things done in the kitchen.  It needs new paint ("oak moss" is a little muted for a playroom, IMO) and a new chandelier, but we're off to a good start.  And she "graduated" from her baby carrier to a convertible car seat, AND she sprouted two little bottom teeth.  Oh, and we went on our first real hike as a family, on actual trails as opposed to paved paths.  The last time we did that, DH practically had to carry me to the car, and I decided I'd better POAS when we got home.  As they say, the rest was history.

  • Weekend was borderline awesome.  I did abso-farking-lutely nothing on Saturday.  I made some onion rings and fries, but otherwise, nothing.

Sunday young SIL and I hung out.  It was super fun and I'm glad she invited me to hang out with her.  :)  Did lots of laundry, avoided sugar like a champ.  27 more days.  LOL.

  • Friday, we went out to dinner with my parents.  We went to Stone Creek Dining Co.  Dinner was excellent.  They have the best Spinach Artichoke dip I've ever eaten.  Oh em gee was it good.  After dinner, we did some shopping (Stone Creek is at the mall right by my house).  I went to NY&Co and bought a couple shirts and some yoga pants.

Saturday, we woke up entirely too early.  We went to my in-law's where we were surprised to find my DH's uncle had flown in from San Fran.  We were so happy to see him.  He's by far my favorite uncle of DH's.  DH's other uncle and aunt were also in town.  We went to the Indiana State Museum to see a Lincoln exhibit and the museum in general.

After the museum, DH and I went home so I could get some stuff done.  We went back to my IL's for FIL's birthday party.  DH, his dad, two uncles, and his dad's BFF were shitfaced.  It was amusing for the most part.  I was sober.  We played this game with quarters and dice called "Left, Right, Center", which was really fun and I won and DH won.  So we have a lot of quarters now.   I ended up making pancakes for the drunks at 1am.  We stayed at their house until 2:30am.  We got home around 3am and went to bed about 4am.  We haven't done that in forever.

Sunday, we woke up at 11am.  From then on, I was on the go.  We went to Sam's Club for some stuff and then I went grocery shopping and then I had to go print pics for the kiddo's science fair project.  I made a kick ass dinner last night (t-bone steaks, asparagus, and to-die-for mashed potatoes).  We watched some Amazing Race and Olympics and went to bed.
