Re: Marissa

  • Agreed, she gave me the wanderlust bad! Yeah, and yours is adding fuel to the flame too. Wink
  • yes! I love her siggy pic too!
  • Thanks!  That was a sunset while we were in Mozambique for our HM.  I got really depressed when I was looking for a pic to use in my siggy challenge...I want to go back!  It was really beautiful and so peaceful.

If it makes you feel any better I got really awful food poisoning there and almost had to be airlifted back to South Africa.

That's awful!  How long were you sick?

I always have post-vacation depression, too.  As much as it doesn't quite fit with my 'saver' mentality, I need to travel.

I hear you...it's an expensive hobby but it makes me so so happy :)

I was sick for about 36 hours.  I couldn't even keep water down.  We decided that if in the morning I still couldn't keep fluids we were going to have to be airlifted back to Johannesburg.  It would have really sucked.  Thanfully I started to feel better.  A few days later we were on the boat heading back to the mainland to catch our flights and there was another couple with us who said that she as well as 2 other people they talked to all got sick that same day.  Must have been something in the food but only the women got sick.  The hotel staff told all of us that it had to be our Malaria medication that was making us sick but some of them weren't taking it and I had already been on it with no side effects for over 2 weeks.

Despite it all I would still go back!
