Re: Florida Virtual School
Did you try this website???
http://www.flvs.net/general/Employment.php
good luck!
I have friend who works for the virtual school program. Here is her advice:
Does you have a masters or national boards?
I would suggest you start working on one of the two. They highly recruit in those areas. I know a huge part of their recruiting efforts are derived from those personality tests. Seems unfair but they do rely on those results. You can't really change those. Does you know any other FLVS teachers? Having a name on the app helps for an interview.
It's no joke. I was selected from over 800 apps. However, I was completing my masters and national board portfolio. I knew exactly what they wanted and worked my tail off to get there. It is possible. The good news is that other counties are adding virtual schools. The legislature just passed a bill requiring all districts to have virtual schools K-12 by 2010.
