How do you make a cookie soft?  I'm thinking you put a piece of bread in with it?

Is that right?

Re: :: Gerrie ::

  • Are you baking the cookies? Use melted butter

    No their store bought.  I need them soft and chewy for Lo.

    Don't you girls give me the side eye.  Party!!!

  • Like a Chips Ahoy? I don't know if the bread thing would work but I totally see where you are coming with that. My unscientifc answer would be to dunk it in milk. Yum! Otherwise, I am not sure that you can really soften it without heat. Time will only make it harder. You could put it in a steamer basket for a few seconds. I wouldn't microwave it cause it could maybe burn her mouth. Hmm.. this is a very interesting question. I like it. Dunking would be the easiest thing.

    If she doesn't like them feel free to send them to me. :-)

  • I did a little lookin into it and you were right!! Bread should work. That or a piece of apple. You learn something new everyday and this is a new one for me! Thanks for the tip. Wink

  • I remember growing up my (crazy asss) grandma used to have bread in with her cookies so they wouldn't get hard.
