XP-any ideas for very hungary caterpillar bday invite?

I've posted this on my normal board, parenting, but I thought you may have some ideas.

I've googled and I've seen one package of 8 and it looks like the kind you handwrite the info in.

I'm really looking for something with the caterpillar in the background, or tucked away in a corner with the info printed on there, but I'd also love to include a photo of Natalie on it.

I don't remember which nesties do invites either.

So, if you have ideas for creating the invite or rec. someone that could do it, I'd appreciate it.

thanks!

  • Have you tried www.vistaprint.com?  They have invitations, photo cards, etc...for REALLY cheap prices, and the work is great!  If you belong to Ebates, your order is 50% off, too!  (I'm not sure if they have anything with the Hungry Caterpillar theme, but its worth a look!)

Good luck!  Cute idea for a party!

  • I love love love this idea.
This DIY one is adorable. Very easy to incorporate a picture on one of the rounds.
Here is a whole party post about a VHC party.

  • I know you asked about the invite, but I did this caterpillar cake for my kid's 1st and thought I'd share.  It's the Baby Einstien, but you can certainly make it any caterpillar

It's nothing more than 2 recipes of cake, 1 8" pan and the rest 6".  Cupcakes for the feet and to use the rest of the batter.

  • I did a Very Hungry Caterpillar party for dd's first bday...

    Invites...

    The cake

    DD's dress

it is reversable, so the other side

    The favors

There were only 4 other babies there, so I made them little quilts.

I was going to suggest something like this.  It's sort of tradition for me to make my kids birthday party invitations every year, and this is what I would have done for a VHC theme.  In fact, one year DD had an ice cream social party and I did something similar...the info was printed on three rounds representing ice cream scoops (chocolate, vanilla and strawberry) which were sitting on a triangle for the cone.  The measuring was the hardest part; if you have a circle cutter, assembly is easy.
