So we went to Hard Rock Park...
We had a good time! I think $50.00 is too expensive for what they have to offer right now, but they'll have more in the future. I'd gladly pay the money then. Like another Nestie said, the only rollercoaster that's worth anything is the Led Zepplin ride. There aren't many rides to begin with; mostly attractions or something centered around a certain artist or band.
Anyways, the place itself was really cool and I recommend going!

Re: So we went to Hard Rock Park...
Glad you had a good time! It sucks that it's overpriced. I think you can get in Disney for $50! I know you can get in Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio which is the world's best amusement parks with more coasters than any other park for less than $50 but with the Hard Rock Park you're paying for the brand name too.
Glad you enjoyed yourself though! Was it busy? Did you hear anything about plans they have for expanding it in the future?
I live about 45 minutes from Hard Rock Park and our local news broadcast live from there every now and then and anything going on in the park is always in our local news. Some time last week they announced that they have already had to lay off some employees and they are reducing there ticket prices to $40 (I think that is the price).
I haven't been but I have heard mixed reviews from people that I know that have gone. I agree that $50 is steep. We plan to go sometime in the fall when it isn't so hot outside.
I would go for 40 dollars. We're into music so much that we enjoy a lot of the little things they have going on. I thought about getting season passes, since our beach house is in Surfside. We go all the time and if you went to the park just twice a year, it would pay for itself. All of the concerts are included, as well.
I think it was worth it, either way.
