If you have a HE front loader ::clicky poll:
Do you use liquid or powder detergent?
I've been using liquid, but I've read that powder is better. Just wondering what other's experience is.
I tried making my own, but it was too hard on our clothes. I'm thinking about ordering some Charlie's. Any other recs?

Re: If you have a HE front loader ::clicky poll:
I didn't vote because I use both. If I make my own I make powdered because it's easy. When I buy it's usually 7th Generation liquid.
I haven't noticed a difference between liquid and powder, but I did notice a difference between different homemade recipes. One dry recipe using a grated ivory bar didn't work at all and the grated soap always got in my nose and gagged me.
i've been using liquid all along, but i just ordered Charlie's soap to try next when i finish the liquid i have here
i will let you know~ unfortunately it may be a while, i still have 1 1/2 bottles of liquid left
i accidentally clicked the wrong one. i use powder. i personally think that liquid can really gunk up the machines, especially if one used too much.
i find it pretty interesting that the majority of what is being sold out there is liquid. if you go to target and look in the laundry aisle, there are like 2-3 powder brands and the rest are all liquid. dh and i were talking about this and he said it's because the manufacturers make more on liquid.
we use Nellie's and really like it...
