October 2009 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
put a pic in a post? After about a year I've still not figured it out *hangs head in shame* I did a search and just came up with a whole bunch of examples! Any help for this not so tech smart girl is much appreciated!
Re: How do I...
1) Find the web address of a picture you want to post - not just the webpage it's on, but the actual address of the picture. It usually ends in .jpg or .gif. I achieve this by right-clicking on an image, going to "properties" and highlighting/copying the address.
(You may also right click the image and select "view image." This will bring you to a web page with only that picture. You can highlight and copy the address out of the address bar.)
2) Go to TheNest.com, and start a post.
3) Where you want to insert a picture, click the tree picture next to the smiley icon on the post formatting bar. (The same bar with the bold, itallic, underline buttons, etc)
4) Paste the picture address in the Image URL box.
5) Hit insert.
6) If your picture is too big or too small, click on the picture and hit the tree picture icon again. Adjust the dimensions until you have it a good size.
testing.....not sure if I did it right
Yes, if it's not on the internet already, you'll need to get it there through facebook, shutterfly, or other picture hosting site.
...
I don't see a picture .... What is the web address for the picture you are using?
ohhh....I think I got it!
