Happy Wednesday

Good morning!  This is the first time this week I've had time to get on TN.  It's been crazy busy at work.  Yesterday I participated as a judge in the George Washington Carver Science Fair.  I had such a good time and met some scary smart 4th graders.

Unfortunately, being on my feet all day yesterday has left me exhausted today.  This wet weather isn't helping either.  My inbox is full and I have no desire to start reading any of the emails.

Our open house went really well this past Sunday.  We had 3 people come through and they all gave us positive feedback.  We're considering doing another one this Sunday for a few hours, but we'll see how the weather is.

Enjoy your day, ladies!

Re: Happy Wednesday

  • Good Morning!

I'm happy this week is going fast!!!

Izzy there are some crazy smart kids out there, we have a 1st graders that absorbs everything he reads...it's freaky...yesterday he was telling us all the different ways to get to the Adventure Aquariam and he named every train statinon were they were located and how to get to them, and then what road to take and what exit!!!  I don't even think I know that :)

Can you believe we are getting more snow...I thought for sure we were going to start warming up but instead we are getting a snow hurricaine.

I hope everyone has a good one!!

  • The nest is being very screwy with me this morning. It won't let me have any spaces to indicate paragraph breaks so this is going to look like ass. I would love some more snow if it means that this cold rain will go away. I am not a fan of rain. After all the snow and then the rain on top my back yard is a swamp. There was just to much fluid all at once. Everything is a huge muddy puddle.
  • Morning. I cannot believe we're getting another storm! I'm having 8 people at my house Saturday for lunch, and my cleaners were supposed to come tomorrow (my house is a mess!). Plus I was planning to go to Acme tomorrow and get the stuff I need to cook. It ruins everything! Now H and I will have to clean the house Friday night. And I may have to brave Acme tonight...ugh.

I'm also exhausted. Jack was up at 4:30 and didn't fall back asleep until right before our alarm. Of course I stayed up for Lost, so I didn't get to bed until later. I need more coffee...

  • I'm ok with snow, but I'd prefer 6 inches max. I don't want to shovel a lot, and I don't want to be house-bound for days. Luckily, H has the SUV so I can go places in his car.

Tomorrow was going to be a short day for me anyway bc I have my annual visit with the OB/GYN. Woot woot. Not so much...

  • I find it odd then when I go to the OB/GYN that the doctor insists on having a conversation with me while they are between my legs.  It's just not a chit chat time in my opinion.

Agreed. I once had a (female) doctor comment on my 'nice tan' while I was getting the breast exam. So strange.

  • That's way too funny, Erin!  My OB/GYN said the same thing last time.  She wanted to know if I had been on vacation recently somewhere warm because i had a great tan.  It was strange, but I love my lady dr...she's very nice and kind of talkative.
  • My ob/gyn is a chatty cathy and perhaps the happiest person I have ever met.  I actually kind of enjoy the chitchat during the exam because it distracts me from thinking about how awkward I feel at that very moment.
  • Oh and I also hope we get another foot of snow.  I cannot say enough how much I love the snow this year and wish every winter was like this.

Agreed. It's better than when the dental hygienist or dentist want to have a convo while they have five things in your mouth.

I'm with eb on the snow. If it's going to be this cold, the rain should be snow, but I don't want to be house-bound again.

My dental hygienist does this every time I go!  She'll have a conversation with me and pause for me so that I can respond.  It takes forever to get a damn teeth cleaning done because of this.  Also I am not a huge fan of the dentist.

  • Agreed. Talking during the OB/GYN appt. is fine, but not the dentist. I prefer to watch whatever crappy TV show that they have playing on the TV monitor instead. In and out at the dentist - that's my motto.
  • My dental hygenist does that too! does not shut up the whole time. I just mumbled back. ugh.

my OB told me she liked my underwear the one time (it was a prenatal check-up).

  • Oh yes, I don't understand the dental hygenist chat.  I think it is intended as a form of torture.  I mean come on, they clearly recognize that our mouths are incapable of forming words or responses with little tubes and gadgets, plastic xray device things, the hygenist's hands for crying out loud in our mouth!  Meanwhile my hygenist is asking where I am going on vacation this year as she is flossing my mouth....
  • hahah!  i love the obgyn stories!  after giving birth i have no fear/shame anymore!  i prefer a male dr.- i have no idea why.

and anna- last time i got a dental cleaning the lady would not stop chatting with me.  it was pure torture- i couldnt answer her back so frusterating!
