Book Recommendations Please!

I know I see you all periodically post about books you have read.

I would love any recommendations on green living, green cooking or the food industry.

Thanks so much!

Re: Book Recommendations Please!

  • For the food industry, I think the two books everyone should read are The Omnivores Dilemma by Michael Pollan, and Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser (not sure if I spelled his name correctly). Bottomfeeder is also good. That one is about seafood. Although that one sort of ruined seafood for me. There is very little on the "can eat" list.

Second these two.  I also really liked Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.  I've heard good things about Plenty, that's up next on my list.  As far as being green, subscribe to Mother Earth News magazine!  I love those guys.

  • My number one recommendation would be Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Its a pleasant read and I think really gets you thinking about how we live, but its not preachy or overwhelming.

I also really liked Plenty, but AVM is higher on my list!

This is my current favorite book.

There is a list of other ideas linked in my sig.
