Kinda new Nestie
Hi all! I used to be on the nest/bump a long time ago. I rejoined since I am a member of the MeetUp group and was at the get together this past Sunday.
Little about me: I'm 23, have an 8 month old son, I'm a SAHM and go to school online. I live in N. Scottsdale. I am not married, but engaged. We have no wedding date as of yet. We're not in a huge rush to get married, when the time is right, it'll happen!
Looking forward to getting to know everyone, and meeting more people at future MeetUp get togethers!

Right now I'm doing my pre-reqs for nursing school, so I should be able to apply in a few months! Very excited
I like to cook as well, I just don't have as much time. I love making cupcakes more than anything though. Weird thing is...I don't eat sweat stuff.
But I mainly like making the decorations for them.
I can totally relate! I barely eat any of the stuff I make. Farmers Markets seem like a great place to start selling, one of these days I'll have the time to do something like that.

I go online at Rio Salado right now, but I'm applying for the nursing program at Scottsdale Community.

I used to go to one in Fountain Hills on either Thursday or Friday, around midday. I have no idea if they're still around though. I just googled AZ Farmers Markets and found this:

I'm going to be taking an online course in April. I've been attending Scottsdale Community College since Fall 2008, and I am transferring to ASU next Spring. I'm behind by one semester

I've been working as the administrative assistant for a family owned CPA firm for over a year now, down in Mesa. I really love it, but I am SO SO SO jealous that you are a SAHM! I'd love to do that, and have a huge family of course!
So are you from AZ originally? I know you said you've only been in N. Scottsdale for a year or so.

I've only lived here for a little over a year. We moved from Sacramento, CA for Camerons job. Not sure how long we're staying either, but I'm getting used to it. I don't hate it as much as I did!

What does Cameron do that you have to move so much? Do you rent or own in Scottsdale? I can understand why you hated AZ compared to CA, its a much different lifestyle and environment.
So tell me about the get together that I missed! Are you going to the next one? My girlfriend just got engaged, so she might join the Nestie site and go to one w/me. I'm really shy around new people, and the age difference doesn't help.

I'm at Thunderbird & 94th.
I bake and cook and play. It just gets frustrating when you wanna do school work and cant. He's crawling and standing and getting into everything, and not sleeping! When do you plan on having kids?
Oh we don't move that much. He moved here in Oct 08 to work with his brother. His brother owns a ticketing company; they work with festivals mainly. He's gone practically the whole summer, which isn't fun. But this summer the baby and I are going home to stay with my parents for two months!
Oh the get together was a lot of fun. There was about 6 of us. We did a lot of get to know you question games, had some food and drink, and just hung out. I don't know if I'll be at the next one, with me not working, we're on a VERY tight budget! I'm shy around new people too, until I get comfortable. And there isn't much of an age difference between you and I! Don't worry about that!

Well we are both still in college, and renovating our house, so adding a baby into the mix would really be too much for us right now. Even though everyday I think about having one! Hopefully in two years we'll have graduated and be able to start TTC.
I can't imagine not seeing my SO for months at a time, that would kill me. So your parents are in Sacramento? That'll be a nice summer getaway for you!
I'm going to try and go to the next GTG. Because I'd really like to make some new friends, I literally don't talk to anyone from my high school, and I just miss the girl time. So you should try and go! I might just go for the dinner part, and skip the movie.

My parents live a little north of Sacramento, but near enough. It'll be nice to be at home, and see my mom. We're really close, and she misses the baby like crazy.
I need friends too! I haven't met anyone since living here, and I'm getting very lonely!

Anywhere is fine with me. I've only been to Fountain Hills park...so I'm not sure if I know totally where you are. I know nothing of Arizona except my area and some of Tempe. So if you have any ideas, that'd probably work out better!
