I went in for a physical for my new job and mentioned to my doctor that I've been having a pain in my lower regions and just found out I have a hernia!! I have to go in for a surgical consultation tomorrow. We're leaving for Barcelona on Tuesday! She said to just take it easy and not do any heavy lifting and there is a very small chance I will need to have emergency surgery, but it should be able to wait until after I get back. We also can't start TTC until this is resolved. Boo for me. But yay that this isn't going to impact going on the trip.

Oh my goodness!  I am so glad that you were required to have a physical or this may have been something that you let slip by for too long!

I'm glad you will be able to go on your trip, but be sure to take it easy!!

Oh, and I'm reading up on what hernia surgery involves and am totally gagging. That's so gross. I'm really freaked and grossed out by this right now.

My stepdad had a hernia fixed and he did really well.  And, I am sure you are in better shape than he is.  You will do great!

Oh what a bummer girl! I'm so sorry, at least the problem was somewhat resolved right? I'm hoping you'll have a speedy recovery if the emergency surgery does occur, keep us posted!
