What to send a friend going through a breakup?
One of my BF's just went through a breakup(mid January) and I feel so bad for her. She has had horrible luck with men. When I had a broken engagemnt she sent me the TIffany bracelet that was super popular so I would have something nice to wear everyday since I had to give back the ring.. I want to send card and a little something. Not a tiffany bracelet. Something fun. Any ideas? I feel guilty b/c I used to be good at this before Ethan and another one of our friends sent her flowers and she posted about them on Facebook.
Re: What to send a friend going through a breakup?
I would have done flowers but someone else already did that.
How about a little care package with some of her favorite foods (not tons to encourage emotional eating), some great movies that you guys loved to watch together, come fun chick lit if she likes to read, a funny card, some nice bubble bath to relax, a favorite perfume, a favorite DVD series, GC to a massage or spa.
I think along those lines would be extra thoughtful and well liked.
I think sending your friend a care package would be a nice gesture
- getting things in the mail is always fun, and it doesn't have to cost a lot. A funny movie on DVD, some cookies or chocolate, a trashy novel, bubble bath, fun socks, some nice bubble bath or lotion.
Love the massage idea!
If you're gonna send a care package with movies - keep them funny/comedies - if I was going through a break up, the last thing I want to watch are chick flicks where the guys and girl live happily ever after that the end!
