This is really late, so I figured I'd write a new post about it. If you can't find citric acid for pixieprincss's dishwasher detergent recipe, you can use 4 little packets of Unsweetened Lemon-flavored Kool-Aid. The citrus in this is enough to cut through any hard water (I know a lot of people have been scared away from using homemade dishwasher detergent because they get a film on their dishes...this fixes that problem). Hope this helps!
