I just HAD to write to tell you that I was browsing your blog and awhile back you posted a vintage china hutch that was really 60's looking. I have to tell you that I have that exact same hutch!!! I'm planning on painting mine black in the next 2-3 weeks. I'd love to see how yours turns out! Please post pics!
Re: **Agentmysterycat***
Oh no way!!! Very cool!
So far I just have the base/buffet "done" I still need to find the right knobs. I havent started the top hutch party yet, i've been busy. Hopefully I will get it finished up in the next couple weeks! I will for sure post pics! You do the same!
I think it's hysterical that someone else has the same hutch! My mom and I were cracking up when I bought saying how it was so ugly that no one else wanted it...it was half price day at the estate sale when I snatched it up.
I haven't even started refinishing ours yet. Dh is thinking of turning it into a bar, but I'm on the hunt for some cool old ironstone to fill it.
I'm thinking a trip to the valley is in order so I can hit up Anthro for some cute knobs. Although, Hobby Lobby is a bit closer....
I was just looking at Anthros the other day.
Lowes has really cute ones to in the special order section. Little seahorses. We might go for those because we are going for a steampunk vibe through out the house.
