Snoring

Do any of your hubby's snore??? If so what do you guys do about it?

That is a HUUUUUUUGE problem with Paul and I....we cannot sleep together! He snores sooooo loud that I can't sleep!

Re: Snoring

  • Jay snores, but not all the time, mainly just when he's been drinking.  He can have 2 beers and he will snore so loud. On nights we've been drinking he sleeps in the guest bedroom.  That probably doesn't help you at all, sorry.  Has he tried those breath right strips?  I know those have helped some people.
  • Don used to, now that he's lost a bit of weight he only does sometimes. If he's laying on his back, I push him on his side.
  • I think my BIL uses the breathe right strips or something like it to help with his snoring.
  • Art snores loud!!!! You end up getting use to it. Its best if I fall asleep first. Try the nose things football players wear them sometimes. Those use to help him.
  • Steven snores but I can sleep through anything so it doesn't really bother me. That and I generally do fall asleep first because he's more of a night owl than I am.

In he event that he does wake me up I try to nudge him to get him to switch positions because he only snores on his back. If that doesn't work I sneakily reach my hand up and pinch his nose shut and wait for him to try to breathe out of it then I hurry up and put my hand back and pretend like I'm asleep so he doesn't know it was me. I know he totally knows because who else would it be, but he never says anything ;)

  • You're funny Carrie!

I have suggested the breathe right strips, he just needs to go get them. Last night he came over and I fell asleep during the movie and his snoring woke me up (I can usually sleep thru anything too but I just don't sleep well will ppl since Ive been sleeping alone forever!) so he switched over to his side and was snoring just as loud...we decided it would be best if he left lol

  • I do the snoring more then Dh does!
  • WHAT THE HELL DID I MISS? So you are banging the BFF? When was that newsflash released?

No Gerrie, I haven't bopped him yet! lol Last year when we were whatever the hell we were, we just couldn't sleep together. When we went skiing with his effing snoring coupled with sleeping on a damn air mattress I got like 2 hrs of sleep! He just came over last night to hang out and we fell asleep watching a movie and once again no sleep for me once he fell asleep!!

If you ask Steve this is apparently the way it is in our house too, but I don't hear snores coming from me only him therefore I decided I must not snore haha

  • I'm pretty sure that I snore a lot.  Isabelle snores the most though.  That dog does not bark more than once a day but DAAAAAAAAAMN does she snore!  She was sleeping on me and snoring up a storm last night on the couch.  David does snore but I just shake him to wake him up and then he stops snoring.  HAHA.  I apparently also talk in my sleep.

    Indifferent

Gerrie you're too funny.  Thanks for asking what I was wondering too.

Joe lost weight and the snoring went away.  I agree that it's something that you get used to.

  • I think Brock snored more when he didn't get as much rest. When we dated he worked at night as a bouncer. It was really bad.  Now that he gets more sleep he doesn't snore that often. When he does, I just nudge him or tell him to move over and it stops. I'm a light sleeper and I can't stand any noise.

  • Whew! I thought I missed big news. LOL
