Mrs.Winter

I'll let you know what I think of the tie chair... I just got it in the mail today! Very fast shipping... The green is more of a kelly green than a sage green, but I like the concept. I'll be sure to take pictures when we try it out!

My 1st 3 days back... Wed, Thurs, Fri. It was fine. I was OK being away from Alexa, it sort of felt liberating. And it was easy to get back into the swing of things at the office. She seems to like daycare..... Pumping is going well, so far...

BUT

She is not sleeping. She was... But since I went back to work, she's been getting up every 3 hours! ARG! I think she is teething and might cut a tooth any day, so maybe that is why. But the lack of sleep has led to me being a zombie at work and getting sick. So basically I am miserable.

A part-time job would be the best of both worlds I think....

When did you go back? Remind me what you do again? How is it going for you? Is Ashton in daycare or with a nanny?

Re: Mrs.Winter

  • Yes, please take pictures when you try it out.  I'm very interested!

I was like you when I went back. It felt sort of good in a way.  I would love to work part time but I don't think it's an option in my career.  I work as a major account representative for Ceridian (Payroll/HR organization). I went back to work after 12 weeks for a few days, then we had that emergency with my dad so I was home with Ashton basically until Jan 2.

Ashton goes to a home daycare. I really like it but I wish it was a little more one on one. He is there with 4 other boys (10 months - 3 years old) but he seems to enjoy himself and I really love the provider. Once he is a little older I will look at putting him into more of an educational center.

I'm sorry that you're not getting any sleep. Ashton did the same thing to me ...still does.  I think Ashton's issues is he would rather nurse than eat from the bottle. So, he snacks during the day and has full meals while we are suppose to be sleeping. Thank goodness Ashton and I bed share or I'd be a zombie as much as he nurses during the evenings.

I'm sure Alexa is just missing you which is why she is up more. You have a good routine going and I am sure she will get used to it the more you are back to work. Do you think she is enjoying daycare so far?  Does Dave take her? I think I recall you mentioning that it is at Dave's place of employment?

     Good luck!

  • Well of course Alexa slept AWESOME last night... 8 hours solid, then 3 more. Am hoping her sleep will be this good next week when I'm back at the office. I am worried that she'll do what you are saying, snack during the day and then nurse at night... But after the first day, she's been taking her bottles so I am crossing my fingers! You're pumping, right?

I think she is liking daycare... She loves to be around people and she gets lots of room to practice crawling! Right now we are carpooling together so we both drop her off and pick her up. But I think Dave will take her once we get things into a routine... The daycare is at his office.
