Decorating for a grown-up party...
Im throwing a secreat bday bash for my hubby's 30th bday. Its going to take place at a good friends restaurant and I want to do something to jazz it up a bit and decorate for the party. Any recommendations? As a joke I was thinking of doing a themed bday like Yugioh or something silly, LOL. Crayons on the table, stuff like that. But I thought no one would get the joke..
Re: Decorating for a grown-up party...
Haha... something like teenage mutant ninja turtles or the smurfs! LOL
Everyone can wear paper cone hats! Ha. That might go over well. Hmmm... i think i might consider that!
Perhaps the restuarant decor might help you choose a color scheme?
If you think you need to keep it more grown-up, I would suggest lots of simple white scent-less candles to set the mood. You could pillars and tons of inexpensive tea lights.
If you still want a kid touch, how about white butcher paper as a table cloth and fancy color pencils in little glass vases were folks can make drawing for the birthday guy?
HTH. GL!
I love the idea of the butcher paper! I think I will do that!
I stopped by Party City today and got a whole bunch of Curious George themed items along with a couple of their "30th" gag items. The theme is going to be "I refuse to grow up"
Im even planning on doing a slideshow of pics of him over the last 30 years set to the very popular "Toys R Us" song!
