Re: interior house paint~any rec's?
We used Sherwin Williams Harmony (no-VOC) paint in most of our house and I really like it. It goes on well - usually in one coat - and has very little odor.
I recently used AFM Safecoat in our kitchen and loved it. I will absolutely use it again over the SW. It went on just as well and looks great so far. The only downside is that I got flat paint for part of the kitchen and it does not clean well but the eggshell is fine. The base and tints are no-VOC so there was virtually no paint smell at all. The SW's brand has VOC in the tints so the darker the color, the more VOC's and the stronger the smell.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
We've used a variety of paints on the inside of our house. We initially LOVED the Fresh Aire paint, which we used in the kids' bathroom. However, when we went back several months later to do some touch ups, the paint smelled like vinegar and dirty feet. I hoped the smell would dissipate after a bit, but it didn't. I don't know if something went wrong with our paint after a while or what. I would use Fresh Aire again, but I'd plan on using the entire container at once and getting a new container if you need to repaint.
ALL of the Olympic paint we've bought has molded. We're fine with how it's done on the walls, but when we've opened leftover containers (we use a mallet to close the containers before storing) they've all had mold growing inside the container.
We've had very positive experiences with Sherwin Williams and Behr paints. No complaints there.
