PS3 Confession
My son sent me a text from college this morning..Mom I want a ps3-please. So I checked Ebay and the cheapest ones I saw were mid 200. Is that a good price or about the same if I go to best buy, etc. We are on a tight budget- fat lady in spandex tight..so I want to shop for it before committing that much money.
Does 200-249.00 sound about right? TIA

That's a good deal BUT you have to look at the model. There are 60GB, 80GB, and more. The cheapest you would find at best buy would be $299 for the cheapest model.
DH has a 40GB he got as a gift but it's not backwards compatible and I don't think it's sold anymore.

I am asking about a gadget not expressing AW situation. The fact is that my son DOES have a PT JOB and he DOES work for his items. He did not ask for anything for x-mas because he knew times are a little rough, but I asked him and like a good son he answered. SO CAN WE GET BACK TO THE POST AT HAND which is the gadget and NOTHING Else. Geezzz

$299 is pretty much the low end model you can buy new right now. Figure that half of it is the game console and the other half is the blu-ray player.
We got one back in December and Dh uses it mostly for games and online gaming, I use it for movies and to watch movies right from netflix's.
I would recommend checking with places like Gamestop which are usually in the mall and see what they have. They sometimes have refurbished model you can get and save a bit of cash.
