ahh the joys of pregnancy
This afternoon, I begged Ben to shave my legs. What with the Italian blood and the not being able to bend over, they'd gotten frighteningly hairy. I mean like half an inch long hairs covering my legs. Bigfoot would have been envious of my thick, luxurious pelt.
I felt gross and disgusting and just desperately wanted them shaved just so I felt less icky. So after some wheedling and pleading, I talked Ben into doing it for me. (Yes I know I could just get them waxed, but 2.5 years in this town and I still can't find a decent freaking waxer...I may try to find one again toward the end of March.)
When he finished, he handed me the razor, looked me in the eye and solemnly said, "We shall never speak of this again." Clearly he's not one of those guys who thinks shaving a woman's legs is sexy...

I had trouble bending over and taking care of things 'down there' but I was able to shave my legs up until the very end. But even though I could didn't mean I did b/c I was still uncomfortable and lazy LOL but I made sure to shave at least once a week in case I went into labor so the nurses wouldn't be horrified. granted i was only carrying one... but i made it a point to stretch every morning when I got up and even at 40 weeks i was still able to touch my toes... and a few days before delivering i gave myself a french pedicure
I was pretty impressed with myself

I shaved my legs while I was in early labor... because at the time I thought shaving my legs and washing the floors was really important
I had Russ use our electric shaver to do some clean up "down there", at about 38 weeks. I was definately not romantic, specially when he cut me. We laugh about it now but it was not funny at the time.

Ahhhh! I can touch my toes when sitting (if my legs are far enough apart for my huge belly to hang down between them lol) but the problem is that I'm not flexible enough to twist around - so for example, I could have shaved the fronts of my legs but not the backs. Kind of a mullet look.
I thought about it, but it would be the same problem that I mentioned to Jaime above - I'm not flexible enough to twist and do the backs. So I'd still have to get Ben to do it. I did suggest it to him as an option, but that was met with even more horror than shaving lol.
this is one of those posts that if Tim ever read it, he'd probably get a secret vasectomy
seriously, though, lisa, i was just reading on pregosaur that you are now carrying around the equivalent of a 7.5 lb baby!?! i had never thought of it that way! but i am glad to hear the little pirates are doing very well.

And yup, about that. Their combined weights take them nearly up to 8lbs, and we still have another 5-6 weeks to go.
Don't get me wrong, it's a GOOD thing that they're that big - they're each the same size that a single baby would be at 31 weeks (although they take up a lot more space) - but holy crap they're getting heavy!
