Hi SF Nesties RI/NY Nestie w/ some vacation questions. Hoping you guys can help. My dh, two girls and I are coming to Cape Coral to visit w/ my in laws next week. I haven't been down since our 3 year old was 8 weeks old! Any suggestions of great restaurants (kid friendly and non-kid friendly), places to take the kids (we have a 3 year old and an 11 month old) things to see ect? My in laws, while great, aren't exactly in the kid mindset so any help at all would be wonderful. Any nice hotels, spas in the area? Fort Myers, Naples..anything is helpful! We might actually get a night away to ourselves, miracle! Thanks!
Re: xp: Hi! Visiting from NY
The area you're going to is actually the West coast so you might want to try posting over there. There are some wonderful hotels over there. I'm not sure what your budget is so it's kind of difficult. We always go to Perkins Restaurant (definitely kid-friendly) when we are over that way. As for Spa hotels, again, depending on your budget, there is the Pink Shell Resort (we were married there) in Estero, the Naples Grande and Coconut Pointe Hyatt (all wonderful). If you are looking for something less spendy, there is the Inn at the Springs in Bonita Springs that is in walking distance to a lot of things.
There is also the Naples zoo and a great sight-seeing tram tour.
HTH!
