buy a house?
we want to by the house my dad is building but there are so many questions about if it's really the right time or not..love to get out of the rental rut...what do people think

We just bought a house in June and it was the best decision we ever made. Like julywifey said, the market is great for a buyer and you can get a great deal. We LOVE having a house and the freedom it brings, not to mention the feeling of pride.
We were so tired of renting and apartment living, DH wanted a garage and a yard for our dogs, I wanted to paint our walls and play loud music without pissing anyone off. lol
I think you should definitely look into buying the house. Go talk to a bank, you'll get an idea of what to do and finance options.
