Our ground is still frozen solid, but I've got the hose going on the
big trees in back (tree guy suggested this to keep them from looking so
sad next winter).
I just pruned the CRAP out of my fruit
trees. I've never done it before. Hopefully I didn't get carried away
and kill them! I also hope it was early enough....
Tree guy coming next week to do the big trees.
Ordering seeds to start today.
As
soon as the ground defrosts a LITTLE, we're going to try to loosen it up
and get the crap out so we can start tomatoes mid-March with walls of
water (LOVE these things, if you live in a cold climate you should
totally invest.)
I bought a drip system last fall that I want to
get installed, but I've got to figure out what I'm going to do to get
water TO the drip system. Maybe I can just dig a trench and bury a hose
(garden's on the far side of the yard away from the house.)
Anyway, it's 50 degrees and I spent 2 hours outside getting dirty.
Re: Let the gardening begin!
All I've done was start a list of what i'd like to plant -and eat- this summer.

I'm jealous! Its been cold and windy where I live and we still have some snow on the ground.
Its nice to see this board coming back to life though! ;-)
