What channels/stations do you favor for good news?  I tend to like GMA but lately have been thinking it's not the most reliable source of information.  I also like NPR and was recently pointed to 96.9.  Any other really good stations I could tune into?

I normally watch channel 5 for news & GMA.  I won't watch channel 9 unless I am looking for a NH specific story.  If there is breaking news, something that I want more in depth info about I will switch between MSNBC & Fox.  I often listen to 96.9 in the afternoon, when Jay Severend is on.  I don't always agree w/ him, but he always makes me think & has lots of news you don't hear other places.

I love Jay Severin, and almost always agree with him:)

 

I try to bee bop back and forth between Fox News and some CNN/MSNBC.

 

I also like Glenn Beck in the evenings on CNN. I rarely watch network news, it's mainly crap.

In the mornings I usually watch Ch. 7.  Thats the only channel I really like for news.  Channel 9 annoys me.   I also like to watch World News Tonight w/ Charlie Gibson, and GMA.  But I"m never around in the mornings! = )

I just wanted to "second" the suggestion for NPR, I listen to WBUR exclusively - I am a total nerd and never listen to "normal" radio anymore.  They always have very interesting stories, too.

ditto to talk radio... I am proud to be one of the "best and brightest" group and I mainly aggree with Jay.  I also listen to Howie, Glenn and also Rush.

For stations I stay with channel 5.  All the other channels annoy me, I am not sure if its b/c I have been watching channel 5 news for so long and I just like the anchors but I try and always end up turning back.  I also never turn on WMUR unless there is a specific breaking news event happening in NH or some severe weather alert.  

For the internet we watch the Drudge Report and the Huffington Post.

Mostly I just tune in to NHPR.  There are times when I've listened to Jay Severin and he's appealed to my libertarian streak, but mostly I've been appalled by comments he makes that I find highly offensive.
