Someone posted a particular laundry detergent recipe.

It was a homemade one.  The person who made it made a dry granular recipe, and used that on whites.  But they also added X amount of water to the granules, and stored is separately for use on darks (because occasionally they could see the granules in the dark clothes or something?).  I'm pretty sure it didn't involve any stovetop cooking, which is something I'm trying to avoid.  I think they said adding the water made it gel-like in consistency?

Does anyone have that particular recipe or post?  If so, I'll love you forever!  : )

  • Yay yay yay!  Thanks so much daisy!

That is the recipe I wanted to try.  I was totally going to make detergent a couple months ago, but New Seasons didn't have washing soda (I swear they did when I first started thinking about making it!).  So now I know to check Fred.

And I totally love you forever!  We finally ran out of room on the Flip last weekend, and Jeff uploaded all of the videos to the PC.  He found the one we took of Nan whining at the door right after you guys took Trixie.  : )  We'd forgotten all about it; it was so cute!
