Can you ladies post your day care costs for me? I am in Madison.....DH and I JUST found out we are pregnant, I'd like to start planning on how much we will be spending appr. on daycare, any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!
Re: Daycare costs
We spend $260/ week for fulltime daycare. Once she turns 2 it will go down to $230/week. It is a licensed facility located in a church. I love it because it is small enough to give you that home daycare feel but licensed so they are always up to code. If you want mor information, please let me know!!
They also offer part-time care. For an infant it is (I think) $55 or 60 a day.
Best of luck in your search and CONGRATULATIONS on your pregancy!
I'm near Waukesha.
DD started out at a large center. Rates were $245/week up to 2 years. That included snacks and lunch.
We switched when DD was just under 2 years when I changed jobs. She's now at a small center. Rates were $224/week up to 2 years, including snacks only. We pack lunch every day. She's now almost 4, and we pay $183/week.
I looked briefly into in-home daycares in the area. Their hours didn't work well for our schedules. Rates were $4-6/hour at the two places I looked, so comparable to or even a bit more than the center rates.
