another ? Re: wine & Jazz event

and thank you to all of you who commented.  We are asking for donations from local businesses and plan to purchase a majority of the food at costco and do it ourselves. we're thinking hor doerves, cheeese, of course, crackers, etc.  what im wondering now is should we also be providing little desserts?  cookies, cupcakes?  the event will run from 6-9. WDYT?

Re: another ? Re: wine & Jazz event

  • I think the simplest desserts could be cookies and fruit.  Costco is a great place for both of these.  Good luck!
  • Costco has some great cream puffs and mini eclairs that would be super yummy and elegant, too.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • The mini brownie bites are also good at Costco.  I don't think desert is necessary, but people always like sweets!

This seems like a good opportunity to involve more parents though.  Could you ask people that want to help but maybe don't want to be super involved to bring a baked good to share? Home baked deserts always taste better anyhow! :)  Even parents that aren't going to the fundraiser could send them with their student to school that day.

  • I like the ideas that PP said. Not a necessity, but a nice touch, nonetheless. And any parent should be able to manage a batch of cookies!
