Sprinklers on in the rain
On my drive in this morning, there was a business that had it's sprinklers running despite the heavy rain fall that was happening. I thought to myself, "I hope all their grass dies and they decide to go with rocks and succulents instead of grass"... When are people going to learn that just because your sprinkler has a timer, doesn't mean you can set it and forget it? We've known about this percipitation for a week now, these people should have to pay twice the metered amount for the gallons they wasted this morning!

Re: Sprinklers on in the rain
When it comes to watering a lawn, yes. And I moved all my houseplants outside to get free water too!
ETA: I don't actually want their grass to die. It was a passing thought I had at the initial shock of seeing that. Although, I'd rather that grass than the millions of people globally who don't have clean drinking water.
