working with a clean slate
We just bought a house last year and the previous owner never did regular upkeep of the landscape. Since this clearly went on for years, everything was a mess and we had to rip out a lot of things as they were dead, almost dead or too overgrown to save. That said, we are working with a clean slate. Our home is a traditional colonial style in Pennsylvania and I'm looking for either Colonial home landscaping photos and/or recommendations of shrubs that will stay green thru the winter. Thx.
Re: working with a clean slate
Yews & boxwoods are common foundation plants for Colonial-revival style homes. They are also evergreen.
