How was your weekend?
Mine was 'eh'... We didn't do too much, really... played games w the neighbors, worked out... I worked Saturday-which was superbusy. Went to Target to see... the summer stuff out?... Really? It's in the low 40's here. Tanks and bathing suits and sundresses are not happenin' unless they're preparing for spring break stuff, but... really?
We also found we're going to get the kids every Tuesday---so now I have to start planning new meals for that-I'm glad we're getting them-I can be more 'in' to what they do...!
Re: How was your weekend?
I had to work Saturday too. From 6:00 to 2:30. Messed up my whole weekend.
Dh and 2 of his buddies tried to get a transmission in one of the guys cars while I was at work and they couldn't do it. So when I got home I went with DH to the shop and helped him get it in, they worked on it for about 5 hours, it took DH and I about 30 mins to get it in. I'm guessing to many chiefs and not enought indians was the problem with them...LOL!
Sunday DH finally got the other washer in and well.....it doesn't work either. I was so upset. (longer post to come on that)
Saturday night we had fun at my friend's pizza party for her 1 year old. It was quite a drive, but I saw an awesome rainbow on the way.
Sunday, Scarlett ran a fever all day. It started in the middle of the night. She was so hot to the touch that I unbuttoned her pj's and opened the bedroom window. She's in good spirits and eating well, but took a ton of cat naps, especially if I was holding her. Since she snuggles while she sleeps and nuzzles her face into things, I will have to clip her nails more often. The poor thing looks like Frankenstein today. She scratched her forehead 3 or 4 times.
Mine was pretty decent
. We ran some errands and then went to an engagement party on Saturday, and then took a walk by the beach, did some pre-move planning, and had dinner with my sister and her DH yesterday. It was sort of the calm before the storm. All of our remaining weekends prior to our move in April are completely jammed with activities!
My weekend was fun and as usual went way to fast.
Saturday - A friend and I went to Louisville, KY to a scrapbook convention. It was a lot of fun. We took 2 card classes and 1 scrapbook page class as well as went to a crop. Unfortunately both of us were exhausted by the end of the day and I had a killer headache so we didn't stay too long at the crop. I did get a lot of cute stuff though. I am hoping by our 2nd anniversary I'll actually have our wedding album done....or at least started! As a doorprize I won the cutest baby boy album kit so I'm hoping that is an omen that I will get to use it someday soon.
Sunday - I threw my DH a 40th surprise birthday party.
It didn't go off exactly like I planned or envisioned but it was a lot of fun. Most people got caught up in construction traffic on the interestate so DH showed up earlier than most of the guests! So much for everyone jumping up and yelling surprise!!! After the party we went home and relaxed the rest of the evening.
Mine was busy!
Friday I went horseback riding after work and then had to come home and shower before the underwriter came over so we could sign the paperwork for our refinance.
Saturday morning DH and I went car shopping because he sold his jeep and we needed another vehicle. (My husband has a problem with keep vehicles). Then Saturday night I went to a Mary Kay party.
Sunday I woke up and took the dog to meet a friend and her dog at a Doggie Social one of the local shelters had. After that we went to lunch and took the pups to be groomed. When I finally got home it was cleaning and laundry time
Before I knew it there was Monday morning knocking at my door!
Uuuuuuugh Way to busy and WAY to short! I cant believe it is monday already. This week is starting off to be JUST as busy as last week was

Anyway, Friday I got my hurr did so at least I am not all beastly.
Saturday I had to go into work even though it was my day off. Afterwards DH and I went out to eat because I was to tired to cook dinner. THEN I had to go out with my friend whos bach party is NEXT WEEKEND and figure out where she wanted to go.
Sunday we had to get up early and go have breakfast at the IL's house because one of DH's cousins is in town. Then I had to rush off to the worlds longest baby shower. It was seriousyl beautiful and at one of the more expensive resorts here. We watched her open presents for 1.5 hours. SERIOUSLY. Then I got home and the dh and I watched the Soloist (amazing movie) and then I did laundry and car napped on the couch
I didnt make dinner last night. We dined upon girl scout cookies and veggie chips! lol
Mmmmmm the dinner of champions!! Sounds good though.
Saturday we went to Michaels to get the custom framing done on the picture we bought at an art show 2 weeks ago (Had a 60% off coupon). Came home and I nursed the worst headache ever.
Sunday we went to church, DH's work picnic, I napped and we did what felt like a million loads of laundry (and yet there is another load of towels and sheets to be done!)
I spent most of the day on Friday up at my parents' house doing laundry since our machine is broken. At least it gave me a chance to get clean towels, sheets, and clothes (how I miss not being able to do it whenever I want now that the machine's on the fritz), and to see Bella. Friday night DH and I just relaxed at home.
Saturday (and Sunday) I went on a futile search for a new "little black dress," which was disappointing. But, we found some great deals at the mall anyway for a few other things we needed.
Other than that our weekend was pretty boring. It was nice to relax, and Monday definitely came up way too quickly!!
